1455 Summer Festival of Storytelling (Virtual Event)

Virtual Panel on The Imagination of Resistance: Community and Solidarity in Speculative Fiction

Speculative work has long been a playground of the imagination for the best and worst outcomes of humanity. This panel will explore some of the ways that resistance, community, and solidarity are explored in speculative fiction. Presented by Neon Hemlock.

Panelists: Craig Laurance Gidney, RB Lemberg, Victor Manibo, dave ring, Izzy Wasserstein

This panel is part of the 1455 Literary Arts’ fourth annual Summer Festival. The festival will be a multi-day virtual event from July 14 to 16, focused on celebrating the art of storytelling. All programs are open to the public and free to attend.

This year’s festival will once again focus on the power of storytelling and the crucial role it plays not only in creative and academic fields, but the business and political arenas. More information and registration details are available here.
